Aim of the subject:
Language skills on CEFR level A1. Aim is to learn simple spoken language, correct pronunciation and intonation, beginner`s grammar, comprehension of simple reading and listening texts; introduce the culture and customs of German-speaking countries.
Content: Integrated development of the proficiency of the four language skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing) in accordance with the A1 language level.
1st semester
Textbook chapters 1-4
2nd semester
Textbook chapters 5-8 Learning outcomes:
Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Assessment criteria:
1st semester ungraded exam: 4 written tests
2nd semester graded exam
Prerequisite for the exam are positive results in 4 written tests during the semester
A1 level test: 4 modules- Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
Student participation (80%) in lectures, performing the given tasks and positive results are taken into account.
