Aim of the subject:
The course on leadership and communication focuses on the question encountered in leading and managing both in the context of organizations as well as projects. Both internal (within organizations) as well as outside (with stakeholders) communication perspectives are dealt with. Content: The module captures the following themes: Creative leadership (EBS) Organizational behavior (EBS) Strategic management (EBS) Volunteer management Cultural Policy and leading creatives Risk and Safety management Learning outcomes: 1.Demonstrate knowledge of the basic theories of organizational leadership; 2. Apply in practice the various aspects of organizational leadership theories; 3. Discuss the specific aspects and applications of human resources and volunteer management, risk management, creative approach to leadership and project management; 4. Display good command of modern communication, negotiation and motivation techniques; 5. Analyze practical leadership problems and issues in the field of cultural management, relate them to theories, and discuss the results both verbally and in written form. Assessment: Active participation and the timely presentation of all homework, both individual and group assignments. Exact forms and timelines are announced during the semester. The module (12 ECTS) can be considered fully completed only if each topic of the module is evaluated positively by the end of the module (3rd semester). Assessment criteria: Excellent (A) The student shows an excellent understanding of the theories and concepts of the module and its various impacts and can apply them to the context of his/her individual project. He/she provides excellent arguments and examples from practical experiences with applying theories and concepts. The student shows excellent skills in their argumentation and thinking. The student shows an excellent holistic understanding of the context of the module, the theories, and the practicalities. Very good (B) The student shows a good understanding of the theories and concepts of the module, and its various impacts and can apply them to the context of his/her individual project. He/she provides good arguments and examples from practical experiences with applying theories and concepts. The student shows good skills in their argumentation and thinking. The student shows a good holistic understanding of the context of the module, the theories, and the practicalities. Good (C) The student shows an understanding of the theories and concepts of the module, and various impacts and the author can apply them to the context of his/her individual project. He/she provides some arguments and examples from practical experiences with applying theories and concepts. The student provides some of their argumentation and thinking. The student shows only a partial understanding of the context of the module, the theories, and the practicalities. Satisfactory (D) The student shows some understanding of the theories and concepts of the module, and various impacts and the author can partially apply them to the context of his/her individual project. He/she provides some arguments and examples from practical experiences with only limited linkages to relevant theories and concepts. The student shows some skills in argumentation and thinking. The student shows only a very partial understanding of the context of the module, the theories, and the practicalities. Sufficient (E) The student shows little understanding of the theories and concepts of the module, and its various impacts and cannot well apply them to the context of his/her individual project. He/she provides a few arguments and examples from practical experiences without proper linkages to theories and concepts. The author shows little skills in their argumentation and thinking. The student shows a poor understanding of the context of the course, the theories, and the practicalities. Insufficient (0) The student shows no understanding of the theories and concepts of the module, and its various impacts and cannot apply them to the context of his/her individual project. He/she provides no arguments and examples from practical experiences with linkages to theories and concepts. The author shows no skills in their argumentation and thinking.
