| aine eesmärk:
This course aims to provide future researchers and educators with experience in the practical
application of reflective research methods available in the field of Artistic Research, as well as to advise the student on how to undertake their own future research projects. aine sisu: The course content covers in class practical application of methods pertaining to self reflectivity. The methodologies under investigation include Phenomenology, Ethnography, Practice Based, and experimental interdisciplinary approaches. In class demonstrations, experiments, and exercises will provide students with experiences for applying the methods and how or why they may be useful in specific artistic pursuits. Each student will design and execute a small scale research project concerning their own artistic practice and/or Phd research. 10 group lessons will occur for general lectures. Additionally, 10 individual meetings will occur for each student’s research project, to better help design and conduct their small scale research project. õpiväljundid: Upon completion of this course the student will have gained real experiences in how to apply reflexivity in Artistic Research. This will afford them the ability to better discern methods for their own research as well as suggest research methods when in supervisory roles. hindamismeetodid: Non-differentiated assessment given at the end of the semester after completed course criteria. (Pass/Fail) hindamiskriteeriumid: Students participating in this course are expected to attend 80% of the lessons and participate in the exercises presented in class. Each student is expected to create and finish a small scale research project which utilises a version of reflexivity addressed in class. Projects are chosen freely with the help and supervision of the professor. Presentations can take the form of lecture and/or lecture-performance lasting up to to 15 minutes.
